General Manager - Talisman Edge
With over 20 years of experience, Schalk is a seasoned business professional, Chartered Accountant and a strong leader. As a clear, charismatic, and confident communicator, he can inspire teams, keep them motivated, and achieve strategic outcomes. Schalk has a strong finance, consulting, strategy and facilitation background, and combined with his analytical problem-solving skills, enables the swift execution of strategic objectives.
Schalk has extensive corporate and entrepreneurial experience, having previously worked for a large commercial bank, a large professional services firm, and a junior coal mining company, while also having started and led a boutique management consultancy.

NATHAN SHARPE
Director – Talisman Edge
With over 14 years’ experience in the mining services industry, Nathan combines his passion for people leadership, operational experience and sporting accolades to drive and develop high performing teams. With over 100 matches played for the Australian Wallabies, 20 as Captain, Nathan played for over 15 years at the elite Australian level in rugby union.
In 2010, Nathan transitioned out of sport and into the mining industry where he established SES Labour Solutions before founding Talisman in 2021. Nathan brings unique capabilities in designing and delivering exceptional leadership and coaching development programs, with focus on improved performance and long-standing relationships. His non-mining background provides a diverse view on drives good teams to become great.
